After a busy week at the French National Assembly, marked in particular by the adoption of the law against drug trafficking, I jumped on the Eurostar and headed for London.
It was an emotional moment, with the presentation of the Légion d'honneur to Patricia Connell, President of the Consular Council and councillor for the French abroad. A richly deserved recognition of her unwavering commitment to serving our community.

The following morning, I had the pleasure of taking part in a citizens' breakfast in the City. These get-togethers are essential: they give us an opportunity to answer the questions of the French in London about the national political situation and the major geopolitical issues facing Europe.

We then headed for the École Jeannine Manuel, in the company of the headmistress, Madame Prévôt. I was able to talk to a class of CM2 pupils who were curious and committed about the role of MPs and the workings of the National Assembly. Well done to the entire teaching staff for their commitment to educational success !

Eventually, I visited the Maison de l'Institut de France, an exceptional cultural centre in the heart of London. Many thanks to the staff for their warm welcome and their work to promote Franco-British cultural links.
This trip was a little different from the usual because I shared it with Léa Passion, a political influencer who followed me to find out about the daily life of French MPs in Northern Europe.
Thank you to her and thank you to the French people of London for their welcome, their energy and the richness of the exchanges.
