A French bakery, grocery shop and wine cellar in North London. Did you dream about it ?
The French Market has done it. This little corner of France in the British capital opened its doors to me on Monday 13th of January to show me the project of three French entrepreneurs. Since 2021, the residents of the Whetstone district and all the French in London can find a range of over 1,000 French local products !
During this visit, I spoke to two of its founders, Amaury Levisalles and Alexandre Bal, as well as part of the team. Three years after the opening of their first shop - L'Authentique - the three long-time friends wanted to go on a new project: a typically French bakery. The French Market offers Londoners a space dedicated to baguettes and other viennoiseries, as well as a grocery shop with a cheese shop and wine cellar! What more could you ask for ?
The partners haven't stopped there : two new shops have already opened in Tufnell Park and Finsbury Park.
A great success story for London's French community! It was a pleasure to meet these entrepreneurs and taste their 100% made in France products. Congratulations to them and count on me for future tastings !
